Autumn in the Valley

Brisk mornings, warm days, cool evenings...a kitchen fireplace fire is welcome in the morning as is the fire pit on cool evenings.

Make Hay While The Sun Shines

This first hay cutting yielded 33 round bales, 5x5 feet weighing around 1100 pounds. This is enough to feed my horses and I already have a buyer for the rest...woohoo!

The Rose of Sharon are in beautiful bloom.

Earlier this month I wrote about cool mornings and a fire in the kitchen fireplace. Needless to say, the dogs enjoy the kitchen as much as I.

A beautiful ending to a perfect day.

Beautiful Days

Recently, another beautiful day in the valley after a rain.

This morning, neighbor moving bovines to new pasture.

They look like calves so it takes a few men to keep them in line and moving in a forward direction.

As they pass pasture with other cattle, some rush to see what's going on while others turn and run.

The calves will stop and munch the new grass along the fence line and the dog is near end of line to nip heels of any calves who try to turn around.

Just another beautifully perfect day on the farm.

1-5-16 Update

~ view of valley ~

As you may imagine, there has been a lot of interest in my farm. On two separate occasions, it was sold but, unfortunately, financing fell through and the contract closing date wasn't met. As of today's date, it's back on the market.

Also, as of today's date, the USDA is offering loans of 2.375% to 3.75% with no down payment.

PMI is now tax deductible, here; click here for other no, or low, down payment loan information.

A Youtube video, here, is delightful and made by Gina Martin, a former neighbor. The video is a trifle long but at any point you may opt out by clicking your delete button.
